Fall is approaching

Another year has almost departed and so many things happen at our home.  We have celebrated the birth of our 7th Grandson (Conrad Cecil Brownd).  Our son Thomas got home from Afghanistan in time to see his son born.  When he returned to active duty Conrad was only 3 weeks old.  We had the pleasure of going to NorthCarolina where they are stationed at to see our son return home unharmed and pick his 6 month old son back up.  What a reunion that was!

We have been blessed with so much this year, we finally got to bring Ron's dad home in Aug. after we returned from North Carolina.  It is a blessing to see what God is doing in their lives as they approach a new era in their lives.  They are slowing down and doing what they can without complaining and appreciating so much from everyone helping them.  For people who have always done for others and for themselves ~ to having to rely on others to help them is very humbling for them as well as frustrating.  We still stand in awe of God and his miracles that He has shown all of us through Cecil and Hazel.

Ron & I would normally be getting ready for our Annual Camping Trip down to Brown County State Park, however Thomas, Trisha and Conrad are coming home for a visit.  Besides we need to work on the pop-up, it's been neglected for too long a time to be road worthy.  Actually we would have to convince Kristy to let us take Hunter camping for a week without her.   So far that is happening!  I've never taken a two year old camping, but I can imagine it would be tiring as well as funny.    Brown County will just have to wait another year before they see us.  It seems like we are destined for quick weekend getaways.

Besides God is using this opportunity to show me more of Him.  I am leading a new class for the "Light" Ministry at Church and it is called The "New" Eve.  I am praying God works His will in my life and in the lives of those Ladies signed up for the class.  I am praying for guidance and confidence in doing this.  This is a big stretch for me and I am looking forward to the challenge that God has laid before me.

Ron and I will be celebrating our Anniversary in November and our Anniversary falls on the exact day we got married on.  Day after Thanksgiving, so we are trying to make arrangements to go back to Indy for the weekend.  We spent our honeymoon there and we like it down there with all the lights lit up and the performances that take place on the Circle.  I hope we don't experience all the elements  that we had on our wedding day.  I also hope it's not freezing cold down there when we get there.  To see the lights lit up and the people singing is just a special time for me.  The first time we went we got to hear Sandi Patty, who just happens to be one of my favorite singers, she probably won't be there this year.  But one can always hope that she is.

Til next time ~ God Bless
